Cindy Yang Dance Academy/Association of Canada, established in 1990, strives to conduct cultural exchange through dance in Canada while promoting Chinese culture.

Chinese Dance Graded Examination Syllabus (CDGES)

Advanced Class

The Cindy Yang Dance Academy of Canada is an officially registered examination centre for Grades 1-13 of the Chinese Dance Grade Examination Syllabus (CDGES), granted by the Beijing Dance Academy of China. Beginning in September 2008, the BC Ministry of Education awarded Chinese Dance Graded Examination Syllabus students 12 credits to meet their fine arts and/or applied skills graduation requirement. These credits are awarded upon successful completion of the Chinese Dance Graded Examination:

  • 4 credits for completing CDGES 7 at the high school Grade 10 level.

  • 4 credits for completing CDGES 8 at the high school Grade 11 level.

  • 4 credits for completing CDGES 9 at the high school Grade 12 level.
