About Cindy Yang Dance Academy of Canada

Cindy Yang Dance Academy/Association of Canada, established in 1990, strives to conduct cultural exchange through dance in Canada while promoting Chinese culture. Students of the Academy have performed and competed in various cities locally and internationally — Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto, the United States, Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Japan etc. The Academy participated in the prestigious 9th and 11th China Taoli Cup Dance Competition and received over 300 first-place trophies since its inception 33 years ago.

To pursue a more sophisticated and faster development of Chinese dance for the students in Canada, the Academy has consistently expanded its teaching philosophies and broadened the channels for cultural exchange. It has become the North American cooperative education organization and the Chinese dance accredited organization of the Beijing Dance Academy. Not only can our students learn Chinese dance, but they can also be qualified through the Chinese Dance Examination Syllabus. For 33 years, the professional and meticulous teaching style of our instructors has trained numerous students to become top-notch dancers.
